Wallings

In 2008, Fresca Group bought a stake in Essex-based Wallings Nursery, helping to fund a management buyout with Christopher Batchelor and Will Fell. A strawberry grower with strong focus on glasshouse production, Wallings sells 100% of its fruit through Mack Multiples.

We're investing further in this business throughout 2009, adding more glasshouse area to replace existing polytunnels and to increase volumes. We're also keen on varietal development, performing technical trials on new varieties and glasshouse growing innovations.
