Berries

Our Berry team was formed in 2007 to answer demand from our multiple retailer customers. In just a short time our berry business has outperformed expectations and become a real success.

Supplying strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, we've supported our strawberry offer by acquiring a stake in Essex-based Wallings Nursery, a glasshouse growing specialist. We're investing further in this business during 2009 with additional glass.

Varietal development is important to us - only recently Wallings was winning customer acclaim for its work on developing the new Sasha variety to commercial production levels.

We also import berries from around the world, ensuring good quality and availability to fulfil demanding programmes.
